If you have a large hard drive you may want to place your AGES Digital Libraries on your hard drive. Some libraries have a "Full Installation" option in the Windows setup program to simplify this process. Table 1 lists which libraries have a "Full Install" option in the setup program, as well as the amount of free hard disk space required for each library.

MANUAL HARD DRIVE INSTALLATION

If you want to install a library on your hard drive that does not have a full install option in the setup program, or if you have a Macintosh, you will have to install the library on your hard drive manually. To perform a manual full installation of all libraries except the Master Christian Library 8:

Windows
1) Insert the disc into your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
2) Open My Computer, and then double-click the icon for your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. Click Edit, Select All. If you see a message about hidden files, click OK.
3) Click Edit, Copy.
4) Return to My Computer, and open the icon for the hard drive where you plan to store the library. If you are placing the library on your C: drive, open the Program Files folder.
5) If you see a folder called AGES, open it. If not, click File, New, Folder and name the new folder AGES. Open the new AGES folder.
6) Click File, New, Folder and name the new folder based on the library you are installing. The exact name is not important, so long as you will remember it later.
7) Open the new folder and click Edit, Paste. The copying process will take several minutes.
8) After everything has copied to your hard drive, double-click Setup.exe in the new folder on your hard drive and follow the onscreen instructions to re-run setup.

Note: If you have Windows configured to show hidden files you may encounter an error in the copying process. If you encounter this, temporarily configure Windows so that hidden files are actually hidden.

Macintosh
1) Insert the disc into your CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.
2) Open the icon for the hard drive where you plan to install the library.
3) Press CMND+Shift+N to create a new folder and name the new folder AGES. Double-click the AGES folder to open it in a new window.
4) Press CMND+Shift+N again to create another folder within the AGES folder. Give it a name that reflects the library you are installing.
5) On the desktop, open the icon for your AGES CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.
6) If you have not done so already, double-click the Mac Installer icon and install the Adobe Acrobat Reader and foreign fonts. Do not install the desktop alias.
7) Choose Edit, Select All.
8) Copy everything to the new folder on your hard drive.
9) Select the Librarian file on the hard drive and press CMND+L to make an alias. Move the alias to your desktop. Use this alias to launch the library.

Master Christian Library version 8:
To manually install the Master Christian Library version 8 on your hard drive, follow the above steps with these changes:

* Copy the contents of both disks into a folder called MCL8 in the AGES folder on your hard drive.
* After everything is copied, move the following files from the MISC folder up one level to the MCL8 folder:
 mcl8_1.pdf
 mcl8_2.pdf
 Study.PDF
* When you're asked to confirm file replacement, click OK.
* Make an alias/shortcut to mcl8_1.pdf and place it on your desktop. You do not need to make an alias for mcl8_2.pdf.
